Trivia Murder Party 3 is live in $14.99 Early Access
Jackbox launched Trivia Murder Party 3 into Early Access on September 17, 2026 for Windows PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. The current US Steam API, Epic listing and Jackbox store show a $14.99 base price. This is a standalone game rather than part of a Jackbox Party Pack, and its Steam record now reports released instead of coming soon.
The free public demo announced for Steam Next Fest was available only from June 15 through June 22. Steam's current app record does not list a downloadable demo, so that expired event build should not be presented as present-day access. Steam still displays a separate Playtest request, but acceptance is controlled by the developer and is not equivalent to an open demo or ownership of Early Access.

One to eight players, with phones and browsers as controllers
Jackbox's product page lists one to eight players. Local room-code games support groups from two through eight, while a solo owner can use online matchmaking to find other campers. Online matches cap at eight players, and local players in the same room can travel together into an online lobby to fill remaining places with friends or strangers.
Players use a phone, tablet or another device with a browser as the controller for both local and online play. Traditional four-letter Jackbox room codes remain available, and Jackbox says remote sessions can still be shared through Discord, Zoom, Google Meet or similar video services. The official page separately lists an audience capacity of 10,000, but does not document every audience interaction on that page.

More than 800 questions, 11 Killing Floors and four Plot Twists
The Early Access loop sends campers through trivia questions at Camp Mass Acres. Correct answers help players survive; wrong answers can lead to luck- or skill-based Killing Floor minigames, while sabotage creates opportunities to interfere with other campers. Jackbox describes the build as cinematic and polished but still unfinished and subject to bugs, content changes and general improvements.
Steam's Early Access disclosure specifies more than 800 trivia questions, 11 Killing Floor minigames and four Plot Twists that modify a game. Players can earn XP and unlock custom dolls, skins and cosmetics when playing through jackbox.tv with a Jackbox Games account. Jackbox's launch post also promises a free exclusive Camp Counselor cosmetic to Early Access players, but does not give a permanent claim deadline.

Matchmaking is included, but voice chat and parental tools are limited
Jackbox says matchmaking with friends or strangers is included after purchasing the game, with no separate in-game subscription. That statement concerns the game's own service; future console editions may still require the applicable platform's online subscription. Early Access does not include built-in voice chat, so groups that want spoken conversation need a separate call or an in-room conversation.
The launch social toolset is deliberately light. Jackbox points hosts to mod.jackbox.tv for tools such as removing disruptive players, while saying custom in-game parental settings are not included at launch. A content filter or platform-level parental control should not be confused with comprehensive moderation of public matchmaking.

Version 1.0 is planned after roughly six to twelve months
The Steam questionnaire estimates an Early Access period of roughly six months to one year. Jackbox is considering richer social features, live events, season passes and daily or weekly challenges for the full version, and plans regular development updates and community feedback throughout Early Access. These are development intentions, not guaranteed feature commitments or dates.
Jackbox's August release announcement targets version 1.0 in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. An earlier playtest FAQ also mentions Mac support for the finished release, but the current Steam platform flag is Windows-only and the current Jackbox product page shows Windows. Mac and console buyers should wait for live storefront listings rather than treating roadmap language as current availability.

Trivia Murder Party 3 Windows requirements
Steam lists Windows 10 or newer, 12 GB RAM, broadband internet and 8 GB storage as the minimum. The minimum GPU tier starts at a GTX 1050 3 GB or RX 560 4 GB, while the recommended tier moves to 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1660, RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT-class GPU with DirectX 12.
Steam's API also contains a Mac requirements block even though its current platform flag says macOS is unsupported, while an earlier Jackbox FAQ places Mac in the full-release plan. This guide therefore does not present those dormant Mac fields as current compatibility. The specifications below are publisher requirements, not independent frame-rate or quality-preset benchmarks.
