What do you actually do in Paver: Tidy Up Together?
Paver is a first-person organizing game focused on one large restoration job. A castle renovation has left the grand plaza covered in 4,064 mixed pavers, and the original layout plan shows where every piece belongs. Players collect and place rectangular, square, octagonal, trapezoid, H-shaped, triangular, hexagonal, trihex, and radial pieces until the plaza is restored.
The store describes a play-at-your-own-pace structure rather than a timed challenge. It also lists save-anytime support and no required timed inputs, but those are publisher-provided accessibility declarations rather than our own test of the finished game.
Release date, price, solo play and online co-op
Steam currently schedules Paver: Tidy Up Together for September 18, 2026 on Windows PC. The US store does not show a price yet, and there is no public demo entry on the live page as of September 17.
The game supports solo play and online co-op. Steam does not currently state a maximum party size, whether a host owns the save, how progress is shared, or whether friends can join an existing session. Those details should be checked after launch rather than inferred from the Online Co-op label.

Normal, Sandbox and No-Skill modes explained
Normal Mode is the progression route: players begin without every convenience and unlock assistance skills while restoring the plaza. Sandbox Mode starts with all skills available, making it the least restricted way to approach the layout.
No-Skill Mode disables those assists and requires manual completion. The modes change access to helpers rather than the underlying 4,064-piece plaza objective; Steam does not currently say whether mode choice can be changed on an existing save.
| Mode | Skill access | Best fit from the official description |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Unlock skills through progression | Players who want the intended progression loop |
| Sandbox | All skills unlocked immediately | Players who want every helper from the start |
| No-Skill | All skills disabled | Players who want fully manual sorting and placement |
What the assistance skills do, and which systems are supported
The three named skills reduce the work involved in locating and moving repeated pieces. Highlighting Paver Layout shows the correct position for the top paver being carried; Auto-Placement puts carried pavers into their correct positions; Auto-Collect gathers pieces matching the top paver in hand. The store does not publish unlock costs or progression speed.
Only Windows PC is currently listed. Steam declares full controller support, custom volume controls, play-at-your-own-pace support, no required timed inputs, save-anytime support, achievements, Steam Cloud, Trading Cards, and Family Sharing. macOS, Linux, cross-platform multiplayer, and Steam Deck verification are not listed.
| Skill | Official function | What remains unknown |
|---|---|---|
| Highlighting Paver Layout | Shows the correct location for the top carried paver | Unlock timing and limits |
| Auto-Placement | Places carried pavers into their correct locations | Activation rules and limits |
| Auto-Collect | Collects pavers matching the top carried piece | Range, cooldown, and limits |
Official Paver PC requirements
The publisher lists 8 GB of RAM and 750 MB of available storage at both tiers. Minimum graphics start at a GTX 1060 or Radeon R9 290X, while the recommended tier moves to a GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 6600. A broadband connection is listed for both tiers, which is expected for online co-op but does not prove that solo play requires a connection.
The requirements still name Windows 7, 8, and 10, while the Steam page warns that the Steam client supports only Windows 10 and later. The store gives no resolution, frame-rate, quality-preset, Steam Deck, or measured performance target, so the component list should not be treated as one.
