Fortune's Weave is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive

Nintendo lists Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave for September 17, 2026 at US$69.99. The official page explicitly labels it exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, so an original Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, or Switch OLED version has not been announced.

The store supports physical and digital purchasing, but it does not list a separate Deluxe Edition, paid early-access tier, or free demo. Those products should not be assumed unless Nintendo adds them later.

Four heroes, one customizable protagonist, and time travel

The player-created protagonist travels through time with the goddess Fortuna to guide four heroes: Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda. Their routes cross around the Heroic Games, a competition in Dagsion whose winner is promised one wish.

Nintendo frames the four stories as interwoven journeys from past to present, with the larger objective of changing history and defeating the demon god Balor. The official description does not promise separate purchasable campaigns or multiple game versions.

CaiA young fighter trying to save his imprisoned father
DietrichA swordsman searching for increasingly powerful opponents
TheodoraA queen pursuing her homeland's long-held dream
LedaA musician seeking revenge

How Blaze Arts, Blessings, and the Heroic Games work

Core battles remain turn-based and grid-based: units have distinct strengths, weaknesses, and positions that determine how the army approaches each map. Some Heroic Games matches introduce special rules or terrain conditions rather than using one repeated tournament format.

Blaze Arts are hero-specific signature attacks that cost HP. Using them fills the Blaze Gauge; reaching its midpoint provides a power boost, while filling it completely triggers Burst, removes the bonus, and cuts that hero's maximum HP in half. Blessings provide another layer of temporary combat benefits and can be leveled to add effects.

What you do between tactical battles

Dagsion serves as the preparation hub between Heroic Games matches. Nintendo says players can recruit allies around the city, improve Blessings at temples, train skills, and build bonds at inns.

A surrounding world map adds quests, resources, roaming enemies, and dungeons. Dungeon encounters use Clashes, where the party and enemies take turns attacking, so the exploration layer is not described as a separate action-combat game.

Official Switch 2 modes and technical features

Nintendo lists TV, tabletop, and handheld play, along with Save Data Cloud through Nintendo Switch Online. The product page also identifies linear PCM surround sound and HDR output on compatible televisions.

The US store currently lists American English, French, and Spanish as supported languages. Download size is marked as information that may not yet be final, so this page does not publish an estimated install size.
